Philosophy — My therapeutic philosophy is grounded in collaboration and respect for each client’s autonomy. I view clients as the experts on their own lives and approach therapy as a shared process rooted in empathy, curiosity, and mutual respect. My role is to offer support and perspective without judgment or agenda, creating space for honest exploration and meaningful change. I strive to foster an environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in moving forward in ways that feel authentic to them.

My Approach to Therapy — My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in respect for each client’s autonomy and lived experience. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where individuals and couples feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Therapy is not about being fixed or directed, but about being understood and supported as meaningful change unfolds. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Family Systems frameworks. This integrative approach allows me to tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs, goals, and context. Throughout our work together, I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship and adapting our sessions to what feels most helpful and relevant for you.

Populations and Identities I Work With — I work with individuals and couples across a range of backgrounds and life experiences, with a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ clients and relationships. My clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, substance use, and recovery. I have also worked in crisis stabilization and addiction treatment settings, which informs my ability to support clients during periods of acute stress or uncertainty. I am committed to providing affirming, inclusive care that honors each client’s identity, autonomy, and unique path forward.
