I believe in your inner wisdom and innate power for self-healing. I see myself as a guide to support you on your unique journey through healing, recovery, goal achievement, and personal growth. As a Registered Counselor Associate and yogi I view each individual through a holistic lens and utilize various therapeutic modalities to facilitate connection, self-awareness, and transformation. I am trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy and integrate yoga philosophy, movement, conscious breathing, mindfulness, and meditation.

My great grandmother was a Curandera, a Mexican Shaman, she used touch, earth medicine, and connection to heal the body, mind, and spirit. I descend from a lineage of healers and draw on this ancient wisdom in my therapeutic work. My background is very diverse I was an educator for 20 years and worked closely with children, adolescents, teenagers, and parents before moving into mental health. For the past 4 years I have worked as an Addictions Counselor and as a Domestic Violence Counselor. In addition, I operate a small yoga studio where I teach yoga movement, philosophy, meditation, and mindfulness practices. I believe my purpose is to help and serve others and I am passionate about authentic connection and building community.

I have an existential-humanistic perspective, that basically means I see each person as having their own inner wisdom for healing and growth and that we are all in a constant search for meaning in our lives and connection with self and others. I also bring a holistic approach that body, mind, heart, and spirit are interrelated – integrating these different parts of self into the therapy process facilitates remarkable healing and change. I love Internal Family Systems Therapy for this work I am a Level 1 practitioner and also utilize mindfulness-based approaches, CBT, DBT, and Narrative Therapy. I am a forever student so always learning new skills to help self and others thrive.

I'm excited to work with anyone who resonates with my brief description and background.
