Philosophy:
I believe that we heal in connection with others and I am here to foster authentic and secure therapeutic relationships with my clients. I am regularly in awe of people’s resilience, and I know that with the right support, people have it in them to make positive changes and nurture their own growth. Everyone deserves care, but many of the systems we live in are oppressive, isolating, and don’t allow for the space needed to tend to our wellbeing. Counseling can be that space, and an act towards reclaiming human connection and connection to self.
My Approach to Therapy:
I bring curiosity, creativity, and genuine care without judgment to our space. I recognize that everyone’s needs are different and ever-evolving, and I use an adaptive and integrated approach to therapy that honors each person’s unique identity in the context of their experiences. Talk therapy alone isn’t always accessible for everyone, and I can help folks with other means of expression and exploration through experiential modalities like art and somatic experiencing. I subscribe to the belief that no one knows you better than you. I am here to listen, attune to your priorities, facilitate self-exploration, and offer empowering tools that support your personal goals. If something isn’t working, we can pivot, and as collaborators together I will actively seek your feedback along the way.
Populations and Identities I Work With:
I work with individuals and couples in all stages of life. I welcome folks of every background, and am committed to providing an affirming space for people whose identities have been marginalized, including those in the LGBTQIA+, disabled, and BIPOC communities. Come as you are; you will be met with acceptance and respect. In particular, I love to support people on their parenthood or “sandwich generation” journeys. I’m also interested in helping folks balancing intergenerational culture dynamics, exploring their identity, purpose, and values, and anyone seeking deeper connection with others, creativity, nature, and themselves.
