Yoga is a powerful vehicle for transformation. It blends movement, meditation, and conscious breathing to promote a greater sense of personal peace.
"Yoga is the dance between the light and the dark within you. The light is what brings you back to the mat, and the darkness is what you uncover there. Don't be afraid of this darkness; these are only shadows and though you'll have to walk down some pretty dark alleys, remember you are grounded in the light, and that light will set you free."

Yogic Coaching/Private Yoga
For those who have a yoga practice, are interested in the philosophy and psychology of yoga, and who want to work on building awareness and decreasing unnecessary suffering, come see me for yogic coaching or private yoga sessions. These beautiful forms of healing work use yogic wisdom, body, and breath to process and let go of whatever is keeping you stuck. I use yoga therapeutically in much the same way I would use a modern psychological theory to guide my work.
Yogic Coaching sessions are 45 mins and are done in person or via Skype. This is long conversation about what is working in your life, what isn't working, and how the vast toolkit of yoga can help. That means this is not a movement session but a coaching session that uses body awareness and eastern philosophy to guide our conversations. Not only is this work deeply healing, it will also increase your fluency in yogic philosophy (thus deepening your personal yoga practice). $60/session
Private Yoga sessions are 65 mins of hands on movement, breath, reiki (energetic work), and deep conversation. Expect all the depth of a coaching session but with the addition of hands on healing work. Sessions are $90 and can be done at your home, the yoga studio, or my office.
As a long time student and registered teacher of yoga, I have repeatedly witnessed the ways in which yoga transforms lives. My classes and private sessions incorporate breathwork (pranayama), meditation, and movement (asana) to build strength, flexibility, and clarity. It is my intention to teach in a way that is accessible to all levels of practitioners while also bringing in deeper layers of the yoga practice such as yogic philosophy, sutras, and mindfulness techniques. Together we will learn to be strong in our bodies, calm in our nervous systems, and to feel rich in our souls.

For those of you who are newer to teaching yoga or are simply looking to grow as a teacher and practitioner of yoga, I am available for mentorship. As a long time teacher myself, I felt that I often craved and needed support, feedback, and challenges to grow...but these were not readily available to me at the studios I worked at or even in teacher training programs. It is important for teachers of yoga to have support and mentors and I am happy to provide this service. What this looks like is meeting in person or via Skype at least once per month to talk over ANYTHING that is yoga related. I also will attend one class per month that you are teaching or watch one recording of you teaching so that I might consistently give you feedback. I know that the yoga business isn't always one that provides financial abundance so I only charge $90 per month for mentorship. A minimum of 3 month commitment is ideal. This includes 3 hours of my time per month (one hour for phone or in person consulting, one hour plus for class, then 30 mins to an hour spent writing and sharing detailed and personalized feedback).
