Kylie Goss DedricksonLicensed Clinical Social Worker , #L11147 Masters of Social Work |
I come to therapeutic work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I believe that everyone can work to realize their own idea of mental wellness and optimal mental health. I prioritize building a connected therapeutic relationship. A therapeutic relationship is a meaningful and genuine connection that is fueled by sharing your story and experiencing acceptance.
I will strive to have your therapy sessions be a place to deepen your understanding of both personal identity and environment to more fully recognize areas you’d like to change, accept or grow. My goal is to highlight how social, cultural and environmental factors participate in your overall well-being and mental health.
My overall therapeutic approach is to work alongside individuals or families to identify their internal processes, maintain self-compassion and mindfully move towards choices that result in positive change.
I value actively anti-oppressive, intersectional therapeutic modalities and I hope to acknowledge power dynamics in and outside of therapy to address them when available. I welcome all.
We might be a good fit if you’re looking for:
Challenges due to Previous incarceration (children or adults).
Parent-child relationship repair or re-establishing attachment or general parenting skills.
Family therapy
Anxiety disorders
Depression
Historic or generational trauma
Support for teens age 18+
I have a multidisciplinary approach in therapy that includes the following: Cognitive (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Expressive Art Therapy, Creative Art based Therapy, Psycho-Somatic integration, Co-regulation or Mindfulness based interventions, Play Therapy, Narrative therapy, Attachment Theory based interventions, trauma informed care and intimacy based interventions.
She/her pronouns, please. I am a cis-gendered, white female originally from Portland Oregon. I enjoy delicious food, outdoor activities, yoga, running, jokes, and outdoor music.
If you are a new client, and would like more information or to schedule an appointment please email info@movingforwardstayingpresent.com and our intake coordinator will respond as soon as possible.
