I identify as cisgendered woman, Latinx/a, complex trauma survivor, and queer. In my spare time, I love downtime by doing relaxing things, going to the ocean, the woods, spending time with people I care about, and more fun things. Pronouns are she/her/they.
I enjoy being collaborative in my work with others and am passionate about supporting others to identify goals and helping people. I have worked with youth and family in various roles for twenty years and enjoy working with adults as well. My approach includes using trauma informed practices and perspectives drawing from components of several different models and theories including Attachment Theory based interventions, harm reduction practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness practices Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Understanding all the layers of intersectional systemic problems and environments which directly impact oneself is another aspect of the work I really enjoy doing with people. We all have experiences and things that have created barriers to living our lives more fully and successfully, which is different for each of us. I would be honored to walk with you on your journey to more growth, change, and healing. Telling your story is just one of the ways you can offer yourself healing.
We would be a good fit if you:
-Have motivation to do your own therapeutic work
-Identify as BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ (something I am very passionate about)
-Parent-child relationship repair support or parenting skills,
-Support for teens 13+
-Family therapy
-Anxiety disorders,
-Depression,
-Trauma- historic, generational, or other traumatic experiences
-PTSD
-Relationship conflicts or issues with emotional intimacy
